The N-3 series of gunsights was by far the most produced and definitely the most widely used AAF gunsight of WWII as it was, at one time or another, fitted to almost every AAF fighter, attack plane, medium and light bomber, but also trainer and even observation plane that needed a fixed gunsight. The K-14, MK. 18 (USN version), and Ferranti (British version) gyro computing gun sights used a gyro to measure rate of turn to give a lead compensation, which was applied to the reflector gun sight. The pilot preset the gun sight with the wingspan of the target.

Fróm what I recognize, the Germans experienced the general greatest optics, although it had been useless to possess such great optics because fights were usually at under 1000 back yards. I furthermore realize that the US lacked a range locater for the gunnér because he has been supposed to become informed the variety by the commander. I also noticed that the Soviets had poor optics early on, that required re-calibration usually, although I furthermore heard that later they made some of the greatest sights. How very much of that can be true? How were the optics fór tanks for thé different countries likened to each other?
